November 27, 2012 Hikers, be aware that the loop off the Cold Harbor trail (called Beaver Loop) has a "widow maker" hazard hanging about 35 feet up in a red maple. The dangerous limb is hanging directly above the trail about 200 yards into the trail. I crossed some sticks across the trail and tied a few scraps of pink ribbon on the sticks to make people aware of the hazard. I hope to get out to this tree and remove the widow maker in the next few days. Sincerely, Bob.
