Bob Mihalek, Elected as new NTC Chairman

Congratulations to Bob Mihalek as the new Chairman of the Northborough Trails Committee. At last night’s NTC Board meeting Bob was elected as the new NTC Chairman. I resigned as Chairman because I recently moved to Woodstock, Ct. and the Board agreed with me that the Chairman should be a Town resident. I'll continue to volunteer on the Board and with trail work. Marielle Stone will remain as Vice Chair and together we’ll help Bob settle into his Chairman duties. Bob has been a member of the NTC for about two years and he has been a valuable asset to the NTC with his enthusiasm and hard work helping develop new trails and maintaining our existing trail network. Best wishes to Bob, I have no doubt he will do a wonderful job leading the NTC during his term as Chairman.

Other News - The Algonquin Regional School Committee voted to accept a new name for the trail on the ARHS property, which has been nameless since it was created last fall. The new name will be The Stirrup Brook Trail, and we will post trail signs and make the necessary changes to maps and existing signs as soon as possible. Also, the trails on the Yellick Conservation Land and SuAsCo property were renamed a few months ago to: Coyote; Bird Song and Old Farm, and those changes are shown on the new maps.

Regards, Charlie Bradley, Former NTC Chairman.

    Dear Northborough Residents,
I'm honored to be able to serve as the Chairman for the Northborough Trail Committee. I see the Trail Committee as having several major responsibilities: a) being pro-active in trail maintenance, b) addressing maintenance issues raised by hikers, and c) working with the appropriate town groups to create new trails.

    See you on the Trail,
    Bob
