Proclamation
WHEREAS: Arthur Cole started the Northborough Trails Committee in 1999
and during the last ten years, he, along with a number of
volunteers, developed an impressive network of recreational trails
consisting of nearly 25 miles; and
WHEREAS: These same trails now represent a wonderful recreational asset for
the Town of Northborough, providing opportunities for others to
create their own memories while being surrounded by open space; and
WHEREAS: Arthur Cole has officially resigned from the Northborough Trails
Committee, but will continue to maintain the trails network, and will
offer his help in planning and constructing new trails; and
WHEREAS: The Board of Selectmen, on behalf of the citizens of Northborough,
would like to offer their sincere appreciation to Arthur Cole and in recognition of National Trails Day –
WE, NOW THEREFORE, PROCLAIM
JUNE 6, 2009 AS ARTHUR COLE DAY
in the Town of Northborough and BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Selectmen
that the community of Northborough honor and extend its appreciation
to Arthur Cole in celebration of his commitment to our community.
